Allison Betof Warner and Rose Maxfield Featured on the Today Show before the NYC Marathon

Allison Betof Warner, Md, PhD (my amazing sister) and her patient Rose Maxfield were featured on the Today Show this morning before their run with Allison’s husband Keith Warner and 30,000 participants in the New York City Marathon. If you want to see the segment, it was on just after 8:15am on Saturday, November 6.

Most importantly, you can still give to MelaNoMore2021, their group which is part of Fred’s Team to advance innovative cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) and help them reach their $30,000 goal. As of mid-day Saturday, the team had raised $31,290 but there is still more work to do to support cancer research!

“I promised her when I met her that we would get her back to running as soon as we could. That was a huge part of her life and something that she was really missing,” Betof Warner told NBC’s Kristen Dahlgren on Weekend TODAY.

The two formed a bond and during their visits, Maxfield recalled how her doctor would ask how her running was going and if she was keeping up her mileage.

“I jokingly said to her, ‘You know, when you’re feeling better, we’ll run a race together,’ thinking we would run a 5K,” Betof Warner recalled.

So proud of you Allison, Keith, and Rose!
