Cornell Emerging Markets Institute Conference and Case Competition

Cornell University’s Emerging Markets Institute (EMI) hosted its 2019 Annual Conference on Friday, November 8 at the Bloomberg Center in New York City. The winning team in this year’s EMI case competition was from Uniandes in Colombia. The other three finalists of sixteen teams were from CKGSB from China, Cornell (eMBA program), and INSEAD (France/Singapore). This year’s case competition considered a Chinese consulting company expanding internationally in connection to the Belt & Road initiative. Judges included Ari Betof, Fernanda Cahen, Roberto Cañizares, Sharyl Cross, Juana García, Sofia Kalantzi, and Christina Valauri.
